I grew up in Ohio, swimming and riding the back of a tandem with my sister, taking long bike rides with our parents. I always knew that I’d end up in California (you can call me a snow bird) and left Ohio for California right after college. I decided to quit smoking and take up triathlon after doing a sprint with my sister in 2004. In 2010 I did my first Ironman and qualified for Kona. 5 years later and Kona is still my passion. In 2014, I landed on the podium in Hawaii and got my first umeke bowl.
If you can’t find me working or training for my next tri, you can find me at home in California with my husband and coach, Mark. My passion is my friends and family, and Sunday BBQ’s are my favorite time of the week.
My love of endurance sports led me to become the co-founder of Coeur Sports, a women’s specific clothing company. Having a full time job as well as helping with Coeur and training has led me to focus on being my most efficient self in order to strike a balance so that I can enjoy all of my passions.
If you made me chose one sport for the rest of my life, it would be riding my bike. I plan to explore large chunks of the world aboard two wheels.
