Outside is Free Recipe Chilli Con Beans and Flatbread

  • 4 slices of flatbread
  • 1 onion
  • ½ tbsp chopped red onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • ½ red chilli
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 jar crushed tomatoes (about 300 ml)
  • 2 tbsp smoked BBQ sauce
  • ½ orange, peeled
  • 150 g canned red beans
  • 150 g canned black beans
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Salt and black pepper


1. Finely chop the onions, garlic, chilli and carrot. Put the red onions and spring onions to one side.
2. Sauté the remaining chopped vegetables in olive oil.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes, BBQ sauce and orange peel. Let simmer for about 15 minutes.
4. Fold in the beans. Season with salt and black pepper.
5. Peel and cut the avocados. Remove the stone. Roughly chop and squeeze lime juice over the pieces. Salt lightly.
6. Arrange lines of chilli mix, avocado and sour cream in the middle of the flatbread. Sprinkle the red onion and spring onions over the bread.
7. Roll up and enjoy!
