Where to start? These replaced a pair of standard Enve Aero bars which replaced standard Enve Road Compact bars which replaced some Roval integrated bars and many before that. Definitely the best and by a big margin. Why?
First, the shape mates perfectly with new SRAM RED (2024) levers and with DuraAce 9200 series levers. The levers just disappear into the bars with no mounting or comfort issues. Second, the bars are supremely stiff -- I didn't expect this with the aero flat tops, but they are significantly stiffer in a hard sprint than anything else I've tried short of track sprint bars. Yet, third, the tops are so broad and the transitions to the levers are so good that it doesn't pound my hands, even on baby-head gravel. And the shape works perfectly to give consistent reach to all parts of the bars, not like many bars where one is reaching far for one position and not for another.
This bar also comes in a narrow width with 35 cm at the levers. With bars getting narrower and narrower in racing this really lets them be competitive and the shape helps make that 35 cm work really well. Try it. It takes a couple rides to be really comfortable, but then you suddenly realize your aero profile is smaller and you are inherently on a stiffer bar (shorter lever arms if nothing else) and you can tuck in and actually generate more speed. Pretty cool.
The hydraulic routing is effortless and the bars mate perfectly with Enve's aero road stem. I was waiting for an integrated Enve bar but this gave me flexibility in sizing I couldn't get with the integrated and I'm totally happy.
Simply a perfect bar whether you want wide gravel-y bars or something for serious speed. No reservations.
