Chris Burkard's Glacier Expedition
Known as Europe's largest glacier and often used as a training ground for polar exploration, Vatnajokull is uncommonly volatile & dangerous due to massive swings in temperature & weather conditions along with hurricane-force winds that frequent the icecap... not a place to be taken lightly. After years of dreaming & preparation, @chrisburkard undertook a crossing via fatbike just a few weeks ago - traversing over 230 miles of snow, ice, and lava rock over 6 days with 4 other veteran cyclists from around the globe.
