Garrett Chow has a unique eye for style. His bike builds aren’t always just for flair, however, he makes very distinct choices on parts that not only compliment the overall build – but promise high function and reliability.

For a bike inspired by the southern desert of Utah in Moab – Chow pulled out all the stops with the help of Wrench Science Bike Shop. Upgrading the already unique suspension platform of the EVIL Offering, a Push Industries rear coil was chosen, along with a Push Coil conversion to the Fox 36.

With upgraded suspension to handle steep and technical trails, a Magura 4-piston brake system was chosen to help maintain control. On the drivetrain side, Chow opted for the new SRAM Eagle AXS eTap. Now wireless, the bike maintains a very sleek and paired down look, despite the massive amount of tech-heavy custom parts added.

“The bike was built by a dear and life-long friend, Tim, who owns Wrench Science Bike Shop in Berkeley, California…Periodically, he’ll do something crazy like build me a dream bike…That is this bike.” Says Chow, “On a trip out to Moab, I stopped by ENVE…They made some custom decals for my bike – the perfect way to finish off this build and our trip to Utah”.

The final touch, as Chow mentions, are the ENVE M730 wheels laced to Chris King Hubs. Custom decals to match Chow’s drawings of the unique Moab rocks round out the build along with an ENVE M Series 31.8mm clamp M6 carbon stem and M9 carbon handlebar.

We’re excited to see where Chow continues to take this custom built bike. Follow @Garrett_chow on Instagram for more photos, as well as @EnveComposites for more custom built bikes featuring ENVE.
