Sam Long Returns to ENVE: Reunited for Performance and Innovation

Back in 2019, at a SUUNTO Multi-Sport team camp, we first crossed paths with a young, confident, and relentlessly driven Sam Long. Even in a stacked field of talent, Sam stood out—hungry for progress in triathlon and already showing the mindset of a future star.

Later that year, he burst onto the scene with breakthrough wins in full Ironman and 70.3 events, launching his pro career. During that early chapter, Sam collaborated closely with ENVE on the development of the SES 6.7 wheelset, helping shape equipment that powered his initial successes.

After a few years pursuing other opportunities, we're thrilled to welcome Sam back for a long-term partnership. This reunion goes beyond nostalgia and is rooted in shared commitment to pure performance. Sam will race on ENVE's fastest wheel options, including the SES Disc rear paired with the SES 100 front, which were co-developed with Tadej Pogačar and proven as market-leading in aerodynamics and speed for triathlon and time trials.

“I didn’t come back to ENVE for nostalgia—I came back for performance,” Sam said. “ENVE is at the forefront of continued innovation, so partnering with them means I’ll always have an equipment advantage over my competitors.”

This collaboration strengthens both sides: ENVE gains direct input from one of triathlon's most dynamic athletes for ongoing R&D, while Sam gets the edge of cutting-edge American-made wheels built for speed and reliability.
