As good as the Continental GP5000

I’ve ridden Continental GP tires for years, due to their longevity and durability in a good rolling tire. I switched to ENVE’s tire because I couldn’t find any GP tires at the time. After running two sets on my SES 6.7 rims, they are everything the GP tires are. They seem to be a bit more comfortable if I follow ENVE’s recommended pressure documentation for tires, rider weight, and wheels. Recently I had a roofing nail through the sidewall and out the top of the tread. Had to use a plug on the sidewall, but the sealant took care of the larger hole in the tire surface. They seem to wear at the same rate as the GP tires.

Not a 700X29 tire

The tire wasn't too hard to put on and then inflate. This on a 4.5 SES AR Disc rim. Iwasrunning 700 X 28 tires and after speaking with Enve was told there is. Minimal difference between 28's and 29 tires.
With my weight I have been running 56 psi on my rear tire, I have found that is a few psi to high, the ride became harsher. In measuring the tire it's 31.7 mm and the 28mm is 30.6 mm.
My recommendation is lowering your ride pressure 5 psi +_. So far they are a good ride with good grip and cornering

Excellent tires

I'm on my second set of these tires, rode the first set with no issues of any sort. Impressive wear; always a subjective thing but I was really impressed. Good traction and smooth ride quality. On the easier side to mount on my SES 4.5's. My go-to tire.

Initial durability not good

Installed one of these and a month or so ago, and had several flats including a bad sidewall hole. Could be bad luck or could indicate poor durability. Just pulled first tire and mounted second.

Smooth ride

I purchased these with the SES 4.5 for my Specialized Tarmac and love them. They ride so smooth and are definitely ride better than my stock tires that came with my bike. I was a little nervous switching to tubeless…so far no issues.
